I trained as a professional dancer at the highly acclaimed Urdang Academy in London. I have been lucky enough to perform as a dancer (and as a singer!) across the world on land and at sea. I am still performing now as well as teaching and choreographing!
I have been teaching adults and children dance for ten years. I teach a variety of styles of dance, but concentrate mostly on choreographing wedding dances. I now have four years of experience of doing this.......I've lost count of the amount of couples I have met and worked with!
It can be a nerve wracking thought - 'THE FIRST DANCE' - especially if you don't feel that you are very gifted on the dance floor! This is where I can help you out! Which ever song you choose, working together, we can create a routine just for you. Flashy and extravagant or simple and elegant, the choice is entirely yours! And to reassure you. no previous dance experience is needed at all.
All your lessons will take place in a fully equipped dance studio close to you, or in your home if you prefer. There will only ever by the three of us in the studio with plenty of room and time to customise your dance.
If you are having trouble deciding on music or what you want from your first dance, have a look at You Tube (www.youtube.com). It is a brilliant place to see videos of other couples first dances. Some even involve bridesmaids, ushers, and half the congregation! There are also a number of wedding website on the links page which may give you some inspiration for all parts of your wedding,
I haven't met anyone who can't dance yet however much they tell me that they have two left feet.....
